The Area

Mainly a residential community, Al Mushrif or just Mushrif is a central locality in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. It is well-known for housing many churches. Positioned in a prime location between Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, one can easily reach the community.
It is also in proximity to Airport Street. To the west of Al Mushrif and across the shore, you will find Al Hudayriat Island. Head east past Al Zafranah and there is the Mangrove National Park which is considered a haven for birdwatchers and a popular playground for watersports activities. Right-below, south of the community, you will find the popular Zayed Sports City and going down further south, you will come across the world-famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Khalifa City was subdivided into three areas: Khalifa City A, Khalifa City B, and New Khalifa City. They have since been renamed to Khalifa City, Shakhbout City, and Zayed City respectively. All of these are currently being developed into what will become three major new districts of Abu Dhabi
